Iran warned of possible strikes on infrastructure and bridges in the region in response to Trump's threats

A senior Iranian official warned of strikes on the region's infrastructure if the US attacks Iranian facilities. Tehran also stated its intention to control the Strait of Hormuz.
A senior Iranian official warned that Tehran would consider "strikes on infrastructure and bridges across the region" after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to destroy one "bridge or power plant" every time Iran attacks a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, reports UNN citing CNN.
"If the Americans attack an Iranian bridge or power plant, Iran will respond with strikes on infrastructure and bridges across the region, including energy facilities in which the United States has interests," Iran's semi-official news agency Tasnim reported, citing an unnamed official.
"The Americans, after these ten days, should be fully convinced that Iran strikes where it decides to strike. Therefore, any such adventure by Trump will again end in embarrassment for him," the official added.
Tehran will also "exercise its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz," an Iranian military official said on Wednesday, adding that the authorities "will not abandon (their) firm determination to control the strait."
