Iran threatens to "correct to the bottom" US ships that try to block ports

Iran responded to US President Donald Trump's threats to "liquidate" any Iranian vessels near the American blockade of ports.
According to the Iranian TV channel Press TV, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of Iran's foreign policy and national security committee, called the blockade military propaganda.

Boroujerdi also stated that any US Navy ships attempting to blockade Iranian ports would be sent to the bottom of the sea.
He added that the US "has no real capabilities" to carry out this threat and that other NATO members would not support this move.
