In Zaporizhzhia, a tenant killed the homeowner over debts and buried the body in the yard. Police have detained the suspect, who faces up to 15 years in prison.
A resident of the regional center, who went missing the previous evening, was found by law enforcement officers the next morning with signs of a violent death. Detectives, canine units, and an investigative team quickly tracked down the murder suspect and reconstructed the circumstances of the crime. The suspect is currently in custody. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, according to UNN.

During the inspection of the missing man's property, law enforcement officers discovered bloodstains on the ground. A canine unit was then brought in to assist.
Pixel the dog led the police to a freshly filled pit. After digging it up, the officers discovered the body of the missing man with signs of a violent death.
At the same time, detectives investigated the circle of people the deceased had recently been in contact with. A 47-year-old tenant who owed the man rent money came under suspicion.
It was established that a conflict arose between the men, during which the tenant beat the landlord to death and, to hide the crime, buried the body in a deep pit on the property.
The suspect was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Currently, investigators under the procedural guidance of the Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor's Office have served the detainee a notice of suspicion for committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 115 ("Premeditated Murder") of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article's sanction provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment.
