Russian troops fired 29 times at the border areas of Sumy region. There were 91 explosions from air strikes, mortars, artillery and drones in 9 communities in the region.

At night and in the morning of August 7, Russian troops fired 29 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. The Russians struck with UAVs and FPV drones, dropped mines, fired mortars and cannon artillery. This was reported by the Sumy RMA, according to UNN.

Details 

Reportedly, Khotyn, Yunakiv, Bilopil, Krasnopil, Novoslobid, Esman, Shalyhyne, Druzhbivka, and Seredina-Buda communities were subjected to hostile attacks.

  • Seredyna-Budska community: FPV drone attack (3 explosions), mortar shelling (11 explosions).
  • Yunakivska community: KAB airstrikes were recorded (16 explosions).
  • Khotyn community: the enemy conducted an air strike with a UAV (3 explosions), mortar shelling (2 explosions).
  • Bilopilska community: Russians attacked with cannon artillery (11 explosions), mortars (2 explosions), FPV drones (2 explosions) and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion).
  • Esman community: The enemy dropped 4 mines on the territory of the community and conducted an air strike by the CAB (1 explosion).
  • Druzhbivka community: there was a mortar attack (4 explosions).
  • Novoslobidska community: shelling with cannon artillery (2 explosions).
  • Shalygynska community: Russians fired mortars (2 explosions).
  • Krasnopilska community: artillery (23 explosions) and mortar (4 explosions) shelling was recorded.

It is worth noting that the air raid has been in effect in the region for more than 22 hours - since 11:10 a.m. on August 6. 

On August 6, the Russian military shelled Sumy region 45 times . There were 132 explosions. The following communities were hit: Mykolaiv, Khotyn, Yunakiv, Miropil, Krasnopil, Bilopil, Velykopysariv, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Esman, Znob-Novgorod communities.
