A court in the Lviv region has taken into custody a driver who, while intoxicated, caused a fatal traffic accident in Brody. The accident resulted in the deaths of three underage female passengers, and another girl was injured.

In the Lviv region, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the driver who caused a fatal accident with three dead teenagers in Brody, UNN reports, citing the National Police.
The suspect, who was driving under the influence of alcohol and caused a traffic accident that resulted in the deaths of three minor female passengers and injuries to another minor, was given a preventive measure – detention without the possibility of bail.

The incident occurred on July 20 at around 01:55 on Bohuna Street in the town of Brody, Zolochiv district.
The driver of the car left the scene after the accident. He was found and detained.
"It was established that he was driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol," the police noted.
The detainee was notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
