A 24-year-old Audi driver caused an accident in which a 50-year-old man died, and confessed to stabbing his mother to death. He has been notified of suspicion under two articles.
In Lviv, a suspect who committed a fatal traffic accident and killed his own mother has been notified of suspicion, reported by the Main Department of the National Police in the region, writes UNN.

The incident occurred on June 24 at approximately 7:10 a.m. on Hlynska Street in the city of Pustomyty, Lviv district.
It was preliminarily established that a patrol police crew spotted an Audi Q5 without a front license plate. When the police turned on their flashing lights and turned around to stop the driver, he began moving at high speed towards the exit from Lviv, colliding with a service vehicle. Subsequently, he lost control and caused a head-on collision with a Volkswagen.
The impact threw the Volkswagen onto the yard of a private house, where it overturned.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Volkswagen, a 50-year-old resident of Lviv region, died at the scene from his injuries.
The driver of the Audi, a 24-year-old resident of Lviv, was detained by patrol police. The man also reported that he had killed his mother. Information about the woman's death was confirmed: she was found at her place of residence with stab wounds that proved fatal.
It was preliminarily established that a sudden conflict arose between the suspect and his 51-year-old mother, during which he inflicted fatal stab wounds on the woman
As reported by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, according to the investigation, the man killed his 51-year-old mother on the night of June 24 in one of the private houses in the Zaliznychnyi district of Lviv.
"During the quarrel, the man grabbed a kitchen knife and inflicted numerous blows to the woman's head, neck, and torso. The victim died at the scene from her injuries. Since the woman lived alone with her son in a private house, no one heard her cries for help. After committing the crime, the man got behind the wheel of the car and tried to leave Lviv," the prosecutor's office detailed.
The 24-year-old unemployed Lviv resident, as stated, was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The detainee, as stated, was notified of suspicion of committing criminal offenses under Part 1 of Article 115 (premeditated murder) and Part 2 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The regional prosecutor's office stated that an examination is ongoing regarding the presence of narcotic substances in the suspect's body. After receiving the results, the issue of final legal qualification will be decided.
The maximum punishment provided for by the sanctions of the articles is up to fifteen years of imprisonment.
