In Kyiv's Akademmistechko neighborhood, an African serval fell from a seventh-floor window due to the absence of protective screens. The animal was hospitalized by rescuers.

In Kyiv, a serval—a predatory African mammal—fell from a seventh-floor apartment window; the animal has been hospitalized, UNN reports, citing the Kyiv Animal Rescue Group.
...our dispatch center received a call about a serval that fell from a window in the Akademmistechko neighborhood. At first, we thought it was just a name for a large cat. But no—the serval turned out to be real
While the crew was en route, people were found who were temporarily caring for the animal and using the owner's apartment.
The apartment was not equipped with screens or window restrictors. Much has already been written about the danger of windows in tilt-and-turn ventilation mode, but apparently, it is still not enough. The temporary caretakers didn't even assume that this "kitty" could also get caught in a window wedge. Ordinary cats often get stuck in them and suffer from compression. The serval proved to be stronger: he twisted out and fell from the height of the seventh floor. While the rescuers were on their way, the caretakers tried to catch the serval. He categorically disliked this, so he actively defended himself. Then he hid in the bushes—he is a bush cat, after all. That is where the rescuers found him and forcibly hospitalized him
Volunteers note that it is not yet known for certain how many lives servals have and how many of them had to be spent on this flight, or rather—the landing. But they urge: install restrictors and protective screens on windows.
It is impossible to live with windows closed, so ventilate safely if those for whom you are responsible live alongside you. Not only cats, dogs, and servals fall out of windows, but children as well. Take care of those who depend on you
