In Kyiv on Ivana Vyhovsky Street, an accident involving five cars occurred. A 51-year-old female driver of a Hyundai died.

A major accident involving 5 cars occurred in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv, a woman died, two were injured, the Main Department of the National Police in the capital reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.

"Today at about 08:40 on Ivan Vyhovskyi Street, a major accident involving five cars occurred," the statement reads.
Investigators from the main police department went to the scene of the traffic accident.
It was preliminarily established that a 21-year-old driver of a BMW collided with a Mercedes moving in the same direction in the second lane, and then caused another collision – with a Daewoo Lanos. Subsequently, the out-of-control BMW drove into the oncoming lane and collided with Hyundai and KIA vehicles moving towards it.
"As a result of the collision of vehicles, a 51-year-old female driver of a Hyundai died at the scene. Also, injuries were sustained by the 21-year-old BMW driver and his 25-year-old female passenger. They were hospitalized," the statement says.
Investigators are establishing all the circumstances and the mechanism of the traffic accident, after which the appropriate legal qualification will be provided.
