During a nighttime IDF operation, the bodies of 6 Israeli hostages were found in the southern Gaza Strip. All the victims were men aged 35-80, abducted by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and the causes of death are under investigation.
The bodies of six Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas terrorists, including one previously thought to be alive, were found during a nighttime IDF operation in the southern Gaza Strip, the military said on Tuesday morning. This was reported by UNN with reference to The Times of Israel.

All the victims were men aged 35 to 80, abducted by Hamas militants on October 7, 2023.
It is known that all six were taken alive to Gaza during Hamas attacks.
Five of the six Israelis allegedly died in early 2024, although the causes of death are unknown.
The Israeli Defense Forces stated that it would continue to investigate the causes of the men's deaths, including the possibility that some or all six were killed by Israeli fire during military operations in Khan Younis.
Currently, 71 Israeli hostages are believed to be alive in the Gaza Strip and the bodies of 34 other people whose deaths have been confirmed by Israel. Hamas is also holding two Israeli civilians who entered Gaza in 2014 and 2015, as well as the bodies of two IDF soldiers who were killed in 2014.
