“Hezbollah attacked northern Israel with 55 rockets in response to a nighttime air strike that killed 10 people. The Israeli army said the target was a weapons depot of the terrorist group.

On Saturday, August 17, Hezbollah fired approximately 55 rockets into northern Israel in response to a nighttime Israeli airstrike that killed at least 10 people and wounded five others. The Israeli Defense Forces stated that the target was a weapons depot belonging to a terrorist group.

Reportedly, two IDF soldiers were injured as a result of a drone strike with explosives on a military position in the northern community of Misgav Am. One of the soldiers is in serious condition, the other sustained minor injuries. “Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, saying that it had launched two drones into Israel.

Kibbutz Ayelet HaShahar, located about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from the border with Lebanon, was in the crosshairs. This settlement is not among the dozens of evacuated towns.

There were no reports of injuries, but the rockets caused fires in at least 10 settlements in the Upper Galilee. 

Several intercepts of the Iron Dome were observed during the missile attack.

“Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in response to a deadly Israeli strike in the Nabatiyeh area. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the Israeli strike killed at least 10 people and wounded  five others. 

The Lebanese ministry reported that all the dead were Syrian citizens, including a woman and her two children. Five more people were injured, two of them in critical condition. “Hezbollah said that all the dead were civilians.
