Four Chinese citizens and one Nepali were killed in a helicopter crash in the Suryachaur district northwest of the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu. This is reported by The Associated Press, UNN reports.
"5 people were killed in a helicopter crash in the mountains northwest of the Nepalese capital. The bodies of four men and a woman were pulled out from the wreckage," the newspaper writes.
It is noted that the rescue operation involved police and military rescuers using two rescue helicopters.
The crash site is located in the Suryachaur district, which is northwest of Kathmandu, on a mountain covered with forest.
The publication notes that the helicopter, which lost contact with the tower only three minutes after takeoff, took off from Kathmandu International Airport at 13:54 local time and was heading to the city of Syaprubeshi.
According to officials, four of the passengers are Chinese citizens, and the pilot is Nepali.
