HACCU removes electronic bracelet from AMCU Head Kirilenko

The High Anti-Corruption Court has removed the electronic bracelet from Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, who is suspected of illegal enrichment of UAH 72.1 million and declaring false information, and allowed him to move around Ukraine. 

UNN reports this with reference to the court ruling.

Thus, on December 12, the court ruled to change the preventive measure imposed on Kirilenko, namely, to cancel the obligation to wear  an electronic control device and replace it with a ban on leaving Kyiv at the border of Ukraine.

On December 9, it was reported that the investigation into the case of Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, who is suspected of illicit enrichment by UAH 72.1 million and declaring false information, was completed.

Recall

On April 8, it was reported that the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) started monitoring the lifestyle of Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

On August 14, 2024, Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, was notified of suspicion of illicit enrichment.

He was previously suspected of illicit enrichment of over UAH 56 million and false declarations. In August, the court released Kirilenko on bail of over UAH 30 million.

At the end of March , UNN reported that the “Schemes” project had published a story in which investigative journalists said that relatives of the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), Pavlo Kyrylenko, had purchased real estate worth about UAH 70 million over the past four years, especially during his tenure as head of Donetsk region, which seems disproportionate to his official income.

We are talking about a large estate, two land plots, two crossovers, three apartments with parking spaces in Kyiv and an apartment in a premium residential complex in Uzhhorod.
