HACC extended Trukhanov's pre-trial restraint until June
Kyiv • UNN
The HACC extended the procedural obligations of the former head of Odesa until June 3, 2026. The accused must wear a bracelet and not leave the region.

The court extended the term of the procedural obligations imposed on the former mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, until June 3, 2026, inclusive, UNN reports.
Details
As reported by the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC), the panel of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the SAP prosecutor's request to extend the term of the procedural obligations imposed on the former mayor of Odesa.
In particular, the HACC panel of judges excluded three individuals from the list of witnesses with whom the accused is restricted from communicating. The court made this decision given that the prosecution did not include these individuals in the list of witnesses to be interrogated during the trial, and the defense also did not announce its intention to interrogate them.
The term of the procedural obligations imposed on the former mayor of Odesa has been extended until June 3, 2026, inclusive.
The accused is obliged to:
— appear in court at every request;
— not leave the city of Odesa and Odesa region without the court's permission;
— inform the court about changes in his place of residence;
— refrain from communicating with the witnesses specified in the court's ruling in the criminal proceedings;
— surrender his documents allowing him to leave and enter Ukraine to the relevant state authorities for safekeeping;
— wear an electronic monitoring device.
And although the HACC report does not mention the name of the former mayor of Odesa, it is likely referring to Gennadiy Trukhanov.
It was previously reported that the High Anti-Corruption Court extended Trukhanov's procedural obligations until April 17, 2026, inclusive.
Recall
Earlier, information emerged that the Pechersk District Court's ruling changed Trukhanov's preventive measure from house arrest to personal recognizance. Trukhanov also had his electronic bracelet removed.
The ex-mayor was under house arrest in a case of official negligence, which, according to the investigation, led to the death of nine people during bad weather on September 30.
The investigation believes that Trukhanov improperly performed his duties and failed to ensure the proper functioning of the city's engineering networks. Despite years of flooding problems, he did not initiate the repair of storm sewers and drainage systems, and on the day of the disaster, he did not organize public notification.
