Residents of Batumi, Kutaisi, Poti, Zugdidi, Telavi, Borjomi, Kaspi reported power outages, and electricity also disappeared in some districts of the Georgian capital Tbilisi.
Photos and videos of Georgian cities without electricity were published by various Telegram channels, including Russian ones. Hotels, casinos and other facilities switched to generators.
The Georgian power distribution company Telmiko said in comments to the Russian media that the power went out in Tbilisi due to a major accident.

Seismologists previously recorded an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 in Georgia, the epicenter of which was 4 km from Tbilisi. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 24 km: there were no reports of deaths or injuries.
