General Staff names front-line sectors with the highest number of enemy attacks

Since the beginning of the day, 51 combat engagements have been recorded at the front. More than half of the occupiers' attacks occurred in the Pokrovsk and Huiliaipole sectors.
More than half of the 51 combat engagements on the front since the beginning of today took place in two directions - Pokrovsk and Huliaipole, the General Staff of the AFU reported in a briefing as of 4 p.m. on May 9, UNN reports.
Since the beginning of the day, the number of attacks by the aggressor stands at 51
The enemy is shelling border areas. Today, in the Sumy region, the areas of the following settlements were affected: Rohizne, Volfyne, Korenok, Atynske, Ulanove, and Kucherivka.
Situation by directions
In the Pivnichnoslobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 10 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops. Two assault actions by the adversary were recorded.
In the Pivdennoslobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attempted to improve its position seven times in the areas of Prylypka, Izbytske, Starytsia, Ternova, Petro-Ivanivka, and Synelnykove. Two of these attempts are ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations.
In the Lyman direction, the adversary attacked four times towards Lyman, Zarichne, Yampil, and Ozerne.
In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the adversary attacked once towards Tykhonivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the invaders carried out seven attacks towards the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attempted 17 times to push our soldiers from their occupied positions towards the settlements of Bilytske, Nykanorivka, Dorozhne, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Vasylivka, Molodetske, and Novomykolaivka. Two of these attacks are still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy did not conduct assault operations.
In the Huliaipole direction, 13 attacks took place towards the positions of our defenders in the direction of Nove Zaporizhzhia, Rybne, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Vozdvyzhivka, Sviatopetrivka, Huliaipilske, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi directions, no enemy assault actions were recorded.
In other directions, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.
