Two cars fell from a height of about 5 meters from the bridge and got stuck on the road. It was not immediately known what the freight train was carrying. However, police stated that it is not hazardous materials and that there is no danger to the public.
It is unknown when the cars will be removed, and the area may remain closed until Sunday.
The accident occurred on a line used exclusively by freight trains, a spokesperson for railway operator Deutsche Bahn said. There are no disruptions to regional or long-distance services.
