Nocturnal Animals 2016 - the film unfolds like a novel within a novel, a story about a woman named Susan who receives a manuscript of a book from her ex-husband, whom she divorced 20 years ago. He would like to meet her, but first he asks her to read his new novel. Susan does not realize that as soon as she opens the manuscript, she will return to a past she has kept well hidden.

When the host of a popular talk show, Murray Franklin, publicly mocks Fleck on television and his mother is hospitalized, the comedian no longer wants to make people laugh with his performances. Putting on ugly face makeup and adopting the pseudonym The Joker, he sets himself the main goal of making everyone around him suffer.

Anatomy of a Fall 2023 - according to the plot of the film, visually impaired 11-year-old Daniel finds the dead body of his father Samuel in the snow. The investigation leads to the conclusion of a "suspicious death": it is impossible to say for sure whether the man committed suicide or was murdered. The main suspect in the man's murder is his wife and Daniel's mother, a successful German writer Sandra. Daniel is forced to attend his mother's trial, which reveals not only details about Samuel and Sandra's family life, but also explores social prejudice.

And in the middle of the night, the owner of the house with his daughter appears on the doorstep and asks to let them spend the night, as there was a massive power outage in New York due to a mysterious cyberattack. Obviously, something is going on, but no one understands what it is.
