The Embassy of Ukraine in France regarding the explosion in Monaco stated that it "sent requests for information to the relevant authorities regarding the explosion that occurred on the evening of June 29 in Monte Carlo," reports Nice-Matin, writes UNN.

In response to the request, the Embassy of Ukraine in France stated that it "sent requests for information to the relevant authorities regarding the explosion that occurred on the evening of June 29 in Monte Carlo."

"According to preliminary reports, around 9:00 p.m., surveillance cameras located near the entrance of a residential building in Monaco recorded an unknown person, and then the explosion of a backpack that this person left at the scene," the embassy continued, outlining the sequence of events: "Law enforcement immediately activated emergency measures. The search for the suspect is ongoing. The Monaco Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation, and the legal classification of the events is currently being determined."

According to local emergency services, three people were injured in the explosion. They are members of one family of Ukrainian origin. The final identification of the victims is currently being carried out through official channels. Information regarding their possible Ukrainian nationality is being verified.

According to reports from media, among the wounded was Ukrainian construction magnate Vadym Yermolaiev. 

"In order to quickly clarify the circumstances of the incident and provide the necessary consular and legal assistance," the embassy stated that it "established direct contact with representatives of the Monaco police, the hospital where the victims were hospitalized, and the judicial authorities."

Diplomats from the Embassy of Ukraine and the Consulate General of Ukraine in Lyon visited the site of the explosion and the institutions where the victims are being treated.
