Estonia has installed the first modular shelter based on a Ukrainian design

The first concrete shelter based on a Ukrainian design for protection against explosions has been installed in the center of Tallinn. The authorities plan to purchase such modules for kindergartens.

A modular shelter has been installed in the center of the Estonian capital, Tallinn. This was reported by ERR with reference to the local mayor's office, UNN informs.
Details
It is noted that the shelter became the first such facility in Estonia's public space and is intended to improve the city residents' preparedness for crisis situations.
The shelter, made of reinforced concrete structures, was developed based on a standardized Ukrainian design and is intended for short-term protection of people from explosions, shock waves, and debris. The modular design allows for quick assembly and relocation of the shelter
According to Tallinn Vice Mayor Tiit Terik, the city is also developing a program for crisis kindergartens, for which they want to order modular shelters through a tender procedure.
The shelter ... is a pilot project, based on the results of which the capital's mayor's office will make a decision on further steps and wider implementation of this solution
