Estonian President Alar Karis called Ukraine Europe's bulletproof vest, deterring Russian aggression. He emphasized the inadmissibility of peace negotiations without the participation of Kyiv and Europe.
Estonian President Alar Karis stated that Ukraine is effectively defending all of Europe today from Russian aggression and the Kremlin's imperialist policy. He said this during a joint media briefing with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, UNN reports.

Karis shared that during a meeting with Ukrainian war veterans in the Estonian city of Narva, he heard a symbolic definition of Ukraine's role.
"I met with Ukrainian war veterans in Narva. This is a border city in Europe. They told me that they are Europe's bulletproof vest. Ukraine is keeping dark brutality away from Europe,"
According to him, this is a confrontation not only against military aggression but also against Russia's imperial worldview.
"Imperialism that sees territory instead of people, a regime that recognizes only brute force, power that is maintained by fear,"
He also emphasized that Europe must be ready for future negotiations regarding the end of the war, adhering to the principle: "nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine, nothing about Europe without Europe."
