Director of the Capital's Perinatal Center Dmytro Govsieiev has declared a smear campaign against him and the institution

Dmytro Govseiev, director of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise "Perinatal Center of Kyiv," has claimed a targeted disinformation attack. As he wrote in a post on Threads, the campaign against him and the facility intensified on the eve of a Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) audit currently underway at the center, UNN reports. 

In his statement, Dmytro Govseiev emphasized that KCSA auditors have been provided with all necessary documents and added that the attempts at discredit are a calculated pressure tactic on the inspectors. 

"It is no coincidence that the smear campaign intensified precisely on the eve of the audit and has not subsided since. This is a deliberate and directed pressure on the inspectors. Such actions are unacceptable and undermine trust in a facility that is part of the city's critical infrastructure," the director of the Perinatal Center wrote. 

According to him, neither he nor any representatives of the facility's administration are hiding from the inspection. 

"The inspectors have received full access to all necessary documentation. The audit is ongoing. There will be results – and I am not afraid of them," Dmytro Govseiev emphasized. 

At the same time, he explained that the reasons behind the information attack are clear to him. 

"Instead, those behind the directed information attack on me and the Perinatal Center do not want to wait for the results of an objective audit. And the reason is simple: they need neither evidence nor arguments. Behind this campaign lies a purely pragmatic interest – to remove the current leadership and promote people into their positions who will serve the business interests of specific patrons," Govseiev wrote. 

In his previous posts, the head of the Perinatal Center had already indicated that he and the institution he leads have become targets of informational pressure. According to Govseiev, certain political forces and lobbyists for the interests of specific business structures may be behind these directed actions. 

In particular, he speaks of possible abuses by certain individuals from political circles regarding the transfer of humanitarian aid to medical institutions and pressure on hospital directors to coerce them into specific contracts. 

"In parallel, information campaigns are launched to create pressure on the heads of medical institutions. This forms a closed loop: informational pressure - decisions - lucrative contracts. It is precisely such lobbyist groups that are actively operating in the medical sphere today," Govseiev stated. 

He also emphasized that the Perinatal Center continues its work despite attempts to undermine it. 

"The Perinatal Center was created and operates for pregnant women, women in labor, and their children, not as a space for political struggle," Govseiev added.
