Details
At 8:55 AM, the CAQI index, the overall air quality index, was recorded at 100+ (air condition: hazardous) in the Shevchenkivskyi district (Syrets), in the Podilskyi district (Podil), and in the Darnytskyi district (Kharkivskyi massyv).
Also, high CAQI readings of over 80 (air condition: unhealthy) were recorded in Vynohradar, Obolon, the Sviatoshynskyi district, and the Solomianskyi district.
At 9:00 AM, Kyiv ranked 40th out of 125 in the IQAir rating (worst air quality first) with a reading of 61 AQI⁺. According to IQAir, pollution with fine particulate matter PM2.5 was recorded at 14.7 µg/m³.
"The concentration of PM2.5 is currently 2.9 times higher than the WHO-recommended annual average PM2.5 guideline value," the report says.
This occurred after one of the most massive Russian attacks on Kyiv, after which fires were recorded.
