Court releases Metropolitan of Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC-MP under nightly house arrest

The Cherkasy court changed the conditions of Metropolitan Feodosiy's house arrest from round-the-clock to nighttime, while extending the period of wearing an electronic bracelet.
The Sosnivsky District Court of Cherkasy changed the measure of restraint for Metropolitan Theodosius of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC-MP from round-the-clock house arrest to night arrest. UNN reports this with reference to the UOC.
"On December 20, the Cherkasy court canceled Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kaniv's round-the-clock house arrest, leaving only nighttime arrest," the statement reads.
According to Suspilne, the court extended the wearing of the electronic bracelet.
It is noted that the prosecutor requested the extension of the round-the-clock house arrest of the defendant Metropolitan Feodosiy.

In April, a court in Cherkasy placed Metropolitan Feodosiy of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC-MP under round-the-clock house arrest for 60 days, suspected of inciting interfaith hatred and glorification of the Russian Federation.
The Security Service of Ukraine reportedthat it had served a notice of suspicion to the head of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC-MP of inciting interfaith hatred.
