On May 28, temperatures in Ukraine will drop to 13-18 degrees Celsius due to air masses from Scandinavia. Rain, thunderstorms, and strong wind gusts of up to 20 meters per second are expected.
A cold snap from Scandinavia with rain and wind will cover Ukraine on May 28, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported, according to UNN.
On May 28, a portion of cold air from Scandinavia will spread to Ukraine, displacing warmth to the southern regions, causing temperatures to drop. Under a low-pressure field and the influence of atmospheric fronts, cloudy, rainy, and—during the day—windy weather is expected almost everywhere,
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, today will be cloudy with clear spells.
At night in the south and east, and during the day across Ukraine—except for the southern regions, Zakarpattia, and Prykarpattia—short-term rains and occasional thunderstorms are expected.
Temperatures at night will be 5-10°, during the day 13-18°; in the southern part, 11-16° at night and 17-22° during the day.
The wind will be north-westerly, 7-12 m/s; during the day in most regions, except for Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk regions, and Crimea, wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s.
Due to the strong wind, a Level I (yellow) alert has been issued. "Weather conditions may lead to complications in the operations of energy, construction, and utility companies, as well as transport traffic," the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center indicated.
