The Ukrainian government has decided to compensate local communities affected by the redistribution of military personal income tax revenues

The government has approved compensation to communities that had a significant share of military personal income tax in their tax revenue structure, the Ministry of Finance reported on Tuesday, UNN reports.

Today, on December 19, the government approved a mechanism for distributing an additional subsidy for October-December 2023 to local communities where military personal income tax accounts for a significant share of the tax revenue structure

At the same time, the ministry said, all local communities that experienced a decrease in income (excluding military personal income tax) in October-November 2023 will also receive financial compensation. The amount of compensation will be such that their revenues will be equivalent to those they had in the same period last year.

The Ministry of Finance indicated that according to the adopted law on the redistribution of military personal income tax, the additional resource in the amount of UAH 96.3 billion in 2024 will be allocated to the special fund of the state budget for specific purposes.
