China supports peace efforts and calls for dialogue to end the war. Beijing demands that Ukraine ensure the rights and safety of its citizens on the territory of Ukraine.
China supports all efforts aimed at achieving peace and ending the Russian-Ukrainian war. In particular, this refers to Ukraine's initiatives regarding a truce on Victory Day, May 9. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian during a briefing, UNN reports.

China's position is clear and unambiguous: we support all efforts aimed at achieving peace. We hope that all parties will continue to resolve the crisis through dialogue and negotiations
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC also demands that Ukraine ensure the legal rights and interests of Chinese citizens on Ukrainian territory, as well as humane treatment of them, in accordance with the provisions of international law.
