Ukraine's membership in NATO may follow the cessation of hostilities in our country. This was stated on Sunday, December 22, by Michael Carpenter , Director for European Affairs at the US National Security Council, in an interview broadcast during a telethon, UNN reports.

At the same time, Carpenter supported the idea of a European military mission that would guarantee Ukraine that Russia would not go further if a peace agreement is signed.
