Britain announces military aid package for Ukraine

Britain has announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine, including artillery pieces, a quarter of a million rounds of ammunition, nearly 100 Brimstone precision missiles, small military boats, demining vehicles, bulldozers, and support for previously provided equipment.
After meeting with President Zelensky in Odesa, the new British Defense Secretary John Healey announced a new package of support for Ukraine. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense, UNN reports.

During the visit, which coincided with Ukraine's Navy Day celebrations, the Defense Secretary confirmed that the new government in Westminster would strengthen the UK's unwavering support for Ukraine.
"There may have been changes in the government, but the UK is united in its support for Ukraine. As the new defense secretary, I will ensure that we step up our support by increasing the supply of vital military aid," said John Healey.
The new aid package will include more artillery pieces, a quarter of a million rounds of ammunition, and nearly 100 Brimstone precision-guided missiles.
The assistance package includes:
- a quarter of a million rounds of 50-caliber ammunition;
- 90 Brimstone anti-tank missiles;
- 50 small military boats to support river and coastal operations;
- 40 demining vehicles;
- 10 AS-90 artillery pieces;
- 61 bulldozers for the construction of defensive positions;
- support for previously donated AS-90s, including 32 new barrels and critical spare parts that will help Ukraine produce an additional 60,000 155mm rounds.
