Ukrainian wrestler Zhan Beleniuk defeated China's Qian Haitao in the 1/8 finals of the Olympic Games in Paris with a score of 7:1. He will meet Kazakhstan's Nursultan Tursynov in the quarterfinals.
Ukrainian athlete Zhan Beleniuk has qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight class of 87 kg, UNN reports, citing the results on the Games' website.

In the match of the 1/8 finals, the Ukrainian faced the Chinese Qian Haitao and won 7:1.
In the quarterfinals, Beleniuk will face Kazakhstan's Nursultan Tursynov.
Another Ukrainian, Parviz Nasibov, reached the quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling up to 67 kg in match against Serbian wrestler Mate Nemes.
Nasibov will meet Kyrgyzstan's Amantur Ismailov in the quarterfinals.
