Assistance to Ukraine's energy sector: G7+ coordination group to focus on equipment and generation

The G7+ Coordination Group has prioritized assistance to Ukraine's energy sector. Attention will be paid to equipment, backup power supply and distributed generation to strengthen the power system.
The G7+ will help Ukraine strengthen its power system and increase generation capacity. A number of priority tasks were identified at the regular high-level meeting. UNN writes with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

The support of the G7+ group will help Ukraine strengthen its energy system. The high-level meeting of the G7+ Coordination Group was attended by Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Hrynchuk and representatives of the G7+ member states, the European Commission, the Energy Community and financial institutions. The meeting was chaired by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Jeffrey Payette.
The meeting discussed:
Areas of assistance to Ukraine in deploying emergency backup power supply and distributed generation;
The most important equipment needs of the energy sector are transformers, gas turbines, powerful generators and solar panels;
The importance of priority backup power supply for critical infrastructure facilities.
