Armenia will not participate in the CSTO cobalt-2024 exercise in Novosibirsk on August 14-16. This is the fourth refusal of Armenia to participate in the CSTO exercises, which may indicate a cooling of relations with the organization.

"Armenia will miss the CSTO cobalt 2024 exercise in Novosibirsk. The Rosgvardiya announcement says that the maneuvers will be held under the leadership of the service from August 14 to 16, and representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will take part in them, who will exchange best practices and improve the skills of interaction between Special Forces units

It is noted that the exercise will work out a scenario for the search, detection and destruction of illegal armed groups; they will rehearse the Storming of buildings and vehicles using aviation and drones, as well as the release of hostages and the neutralization of militants.

Armenia is not on the list of participants, and no official comments have been received from Yerevan yet.
