Recently, Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer in an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung said that there are shortcomings in the preparation of the German armed forces for the defense of the country and NATO, and this must be changed.

According to him, there will be no return to the times before the great Russian invasion of Ukraine. Germany must get used to the idea that "one day we may have to fight a defensive war."
