Anti-corruption activist Vitaly Shabunin actually confirmed that the letters about his business trip from the army to the NACP were fictitious. NABU has opened criminal proceedings against the ex-head of the NACP and his ex-deputy for signing these letters.

Anti-corruption activist Vitaly Shabunin actually admitted that the letters about his business trip from the army to the NACP were fictitious. This is written by journalist Vladimir Boyko.

"It turns out that Novikov and Sytnyk (ex-leaders of the NACP) made letters addressed to the commander of the military unit with a request to second soldier Shabunin to the NACP not in order to help evade military service, but in order to provide the driver – electricity Shabunin." access to the southern and eastern fronts, " writes Boyko.

The anti-corruption officer told the media that he wanted to get "freedom of movement".

"It is noteworthy that Shabunin himself actually confirmed the fictitiousness of these letters. But neither the investigating judge VAKS nor the NACP itself believed in the secret mission of soldier Shabunin on the "southern and eastern fronts" after the release of his friends from there," notes Law and business.

The publication also cites the response of the National Agency for the Prevention of corruption, which states that the agency does not know anything about Shabunin seconded to them and his tasks.

At the same time, in their military unit, soldiers Shabunin and Sherembey (co-founder of the Charity Foundation "patients of Ukraine") in 2022-2023 were fictitiously listed in the service among the other 20 "dead souls". And according to the soldiers of this battalion, part of the salaries were transferred to the commander of the military unit for evading service and living at home.

Recall that the NABU opened criminal proceedings on the fact of abuse of office by the ex-head of the NACP Alexander Novikov and his ex-deputy Artem Sytnyk, who signed letters about Shabunin's fake business trips to the NACP.

Earlier, the command of the TRO forces appealed to the DR with a request to bring to criminal responsibility the commander of the military unit where Shabunin "served" for providing him with illegal business trips and payments.

And the state Bureau of Investigation is investigating a number of criminal cases against Shabunin, in particular, evasion of mobilization, forgery of NAPC documents, illegal use of humanitarian aid and misappropriation of a Nissan Pathfinder Jeep, which volunteers handed over to the armed forces of Ukraine.

According to media reports, many other journalists and anti-corruption activists also evade serving in the army. Among them is Yuri Butusov, who previously publicly promised to go to serve on the front line, and now issued a postponement from mobilization, as the father of three daughters.
