In 21 days, more than 35,000 Syrians have voluntarily returned home from Turkey. Most are heading to Aleppo, while 805,000 refugee children were born in Turkey.
Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Erlikaya said that 35,114 Syrians had voluntarily returned to their homeland in 21 days, UNN reports with reference to CNN.

35,114 Syrians returned to their homeland in 21 days. Almost 1,700 people return every day. Between December 9 and December 29, the average daily return rate was 1,672 people. In total, 775,117 Syrians returned voluntarily
Currently, people are returning mainly to Aleppo. 30% of the 2,000,905 Syrians, 805,000 of them are children born in Turkey. Those born in Turkey do not have Turkish citizenship, but they have temporary protection status. As soon as they cross the border, their temporary protection ends.
