A 23-year-old girl fainted in the water on Lake Svityaz in Volyn Oblast. The lifeguard, who was vacationing with his family, gave her first aid and performed resuscitation until the ambulance arrived.
In Volyn region, on Lake Svityaz, a 23-year-old girl fainted in the water, she was assisted by a rescuer who was on vacation at the time, the regional State Emergency Service reported on Friday, UNN reports.

The incident occurred on Lake Svityaz in the Volyn region in late July.
On that day, around 6 p.m., a Volyn lifeguard was on vacation with his family when he heard a call for help from the beach: "Lifeguard!"
He immediately ran to help the man who pulled the unconscious young girl ashore. The lifeguard began to provide first aid and carried out resuscitation until the ambulance arrived, assisted by other vacationers.
Eventually, the girl coughed and began to regain consciousness. After that, the rescuer helped the paramedics bring the rescued woman into an ambulance.
"As it turned out, the 23-year-old woman fainted when she entered the lake and fell, as a result of which water entered her respiratory tract," the State Emergency Service reported.
Doctors took the victim to the intensive care unit of the Lyuboml hospital in serious condition, but after treatment she returned home to Ternopil region.
