138 combat engagements since the beginning of the day: where the frontline is the hottest and what is happening in each sector

There were 138 combat engagements on the frontline, most of them in the Kurakhove, Pokrovske and Vremivske sectors.
Since the beginning of the day, 138 battles have already taken place at the front, most of them in the Kurakhove, Pokrovske and Vremivske directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report as of 16 hours on December 12, UNN reports.
Russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. In total, 138 combat engagements have already taken place since the beginning of the day. Most of the fighting was recorded in the Kurakhove, Pokrovske and Vremivske sectors
Today, the communities of Tymofiyivka, Dmytrivka, Popivka, Bobylivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Semenivka, Marchykhina Buda, Seredyna Buda, Dmytrivka, Progress, Baranivka, Demyanivka, Kamyanka, Yeline, Mykolaivka and Nova Huta were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire in Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
According to the General Staff, the situation in these areas is as follows:
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy stormed the positions of our units four times in the areas of Vovchansk, Hlyboke and Starytsia, and the battle is currently underway. The enemy also launched air strikes with KABs on Liptsy, Vysoka Yaruga and Hoptivka.
In the Kupyansk sector, Russian occupants have been conducting offensives near Sinkivka, Zahryzove and Zakhidne since the beginning of the day. Three firefights are ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 14 times near Kopanky, Novoyehorivka, Lozova, Nadiia, Makiivka, Terny and in Serebryansky forest. Five attacks are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled six attempts by the occupants to advance in the area of Chasovyi Yar and in the direction of Stupochky and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the occupants twice tried to force our units out of their positions near Toretsk, and the battle is currently ongoing. Enemy aircraft dropped KAB on Krymske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy carried out 30 assault operations in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachanske, Novyi Trud, Pishchane, Shevchenko and Chumatske. The Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the onslaught of Russian troops and repelled 24 attacks, with six more battles currently underway.
In the Kurakhove sector, the invaders attacked 37 times near Sontsivka, Staryi Terny, Kurakhove, Dalne and Uspenivka. 24 attempts by the occupiers to advance have already been repelled. The fighting continues. Enemy aircraft struck the settlements of Bagatyr and Ulakly, dropping four KABs.
In the Vremivsky sector, the enemy stormed the positions of our defenders 24 times near Sukhi Yaly, Kostiantynopolske, Rozdolne, Neskuchne and Novodarivka. Eleven combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled an attack by the occupiers in the direction of Novodanylivka.
"In the Kursk region, the Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks, seven combat engagements are ongoing," the report said.
In other areas, the General Staff noted, the situation has not changed significantly.
