The President of Ukraine announced the return of 95 Ukrainians from Russian captivity. Among those released are Azov fighters, defenders of Mariupol and other regions, and human rights activist Maksym Butkevych.

Local collaborators organized a visit of Turkish media to occupied Mariupol to create propaganda materials. Such visits are intended to legitimize the occupation and test the reaction of the international community.

Ukraine has conducted the 58th prisoner exchange with Russia, returning 95 of its defenders. Among those released are defenders of Mariupol, Azovstal and other regions, many of whom have serious illnesses due to torture.

NATO Secretary General Rutte says there is no evidence of North Korean soldiers participating in the fighting in Ukraine.

In the occupied territories of Donetsk region, Russians systematically misappropriate student scholarships. In Makiivka, the director of a lyceum embezzled 175,000 rubles intended for student payments.

Over the last day, 153 combat engagements were registered. In the Pokrovsk sector, 27 clashes took place, and Ukrainian troops repelled 24 attacks. The enemy suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment.

According to the ISW, “several thousand” North Korean infantrymen are being trained in Russia. They may be deployed to the front in Ukraine or in the border regions of Russia by the end of 2024.

The Russian army is concentrating its efforts in the Avdiivka-Pokrovsky sector, creating conditions for an offensive. According to British intelligence, the Russians will try to capture Selydove in the coming weeks and are advancing toward the center of Toretsk.

On October 11, Russian troops shelled settlements in 4 districts of Donetsk region. As a result of the attacks, a 74-year-old woman was killed and 6 other people were injured of varying severity.

Russian shelling in Donetsk region resulted in 1 death and 4 injuries. Seventy-one civilian objects were damaged, including 37 residential buildings in different districts of the region.

Oleg Kiper met with the soldiers of the 28th Brigade and workers from Odesa region at the front line. He discussed further cooperation with the head of the Donetsk RMA and emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine's defenders.

A large ammunition depot of the Russian occupation forces was found on the territory of an abandoned plant in Panteleimonivka. The warehouse is of strategic importance for supplying artillery and tank units in the Toretsk sector.

Over the last day, 2691 attacks were registered in 10 localities of Donetsk region. 26 civilian objects were damaged, including 23 residential buildings, and one person was wounded in Yasna Polyana.

On the night of October 10, 2024, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 41 enemy UAVs and continue to counter the attack, there are damages.

The participants of the summit in Croatia reaffirmed their support for the Ukrainian peace formula and called for increased assistance to Ukraine. The declaration condemns Russian aggression and reaffirms Ukraine's territorial integrity.

Law enforcers detained a soldier of the 56th Separate Mechanized Brigade who publicly announced that he was leaving the military unit. The soldier had been hiding from law enforcement for two weeks after allegedly being sent for a medical examination.

The Chief Prosecutor of the ICC has declared the court's jurisdiction to investigate the executions of prisoners of war in Ukraine. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Russian occupiers executed 93 Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield.

Over the past day, the occupants fired 13 times at the settlements of Donetsk region. 65 civilian objects, including 22 residential buildings, were damaged, 1 person was killed and 11 were wounded.
