6-year-old Maria from Donetsk region and 14-year-old Veronika from Kherson region were returned from the temporarily occupied territories. The girls were in danger because of the occupation, but are now safe with their families.

Ukraine managed to return two more Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories. This is reported by the head of the Office of the president of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, reports UNN.

This was made possible thanks to the initiative of the president of Ukraine Bring Kids back UA, aimed at rescuing children who were in danger due to the Russian occupation.

Consequently, 6-year-old Maria, who lived in a village in the occupied territory of the Donetsk region with her grandparents, remained in the care of her grandfather after the death of her grandmother. However, fearing that the occupation authorities would take his granddaughter, the grandfather decided to evacuate the child to a safe area. Now Maria is safe with her mother and younger brother.

Another child, 14-year-old Veronika, after losing her parents was taken to a guardian family in the Kherson region. However, due to the hostile occupation of her native village in 2022, the girl experienced constant stress and fear, which significantly worsened her health. unstable communication and lack of electricity also made it difficult to study. Now Veronica is back home.
