Explosions are heard in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region, amid an announced ballistic missile threat from the southeast. This follows the city's recent most massive attack.

On the night of July 20, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 57 Shahed-type attack UAVs and imitators. The defense forces shot down 18 Shaheds and 7 UAVs lost location/were suppressed by electronic warfare.

Russia attacked Ukraine with 107 Shahed-type drones, 74 of which were neutralized, with 64 shot down. The main strike hit the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, with 15 hits recorded.

Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Ustymenko, born in 1993, on an F-16, died while repelling a massive Russian air attack on June 29, 2025. The pilot shot down seven aerial targets, but his F-16 aircraft was damaged and began losing altitude; the pilot did not manage to eject, steering the machine away from a populated area.

The aerial target was launched from the occupied Zaporizhzhia region in the direction of Dnipro. The target flew over 100 km and was shot down by air defense 15 km from the city. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA stated that it might have been a new weapon, "Grom-1."
