The President of Ukraine signed a decree granting the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences the status of “national”. During the war, the institute provided assistance to 40,000 soldiers, performing 300 complex surgeries every week.

I would like to recognize the work of our Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. It is already a national institute. I signed the relevant decree, and this is not only a legal status, and not only recognition of your professionalism and contribution to the capacity of Ukrainian medicine, but also a real gratitude of all of us, our state, for your work. Overall, 40 thousand of our military have already received some kind of assistance during this war. Every week, 300 surgeries, most of them of the highest level of complexity
