Yesterday we already had a very productive meeting - thank you very much - with representatives of the defense industry. The Ministers of Defense and Trade were also there. The meeting was really substantive. And I hope that we will work even more actively now. Indeed, when implementing changes, it is important not to lose a single day, and the sooner you act, the greater the results you will achieve. And the same principle applies to putting pressure on Russia for the war: we have to be as energetic as possible so that the aggressor cannot use a single day to adapt to the pressure on it
He thanked the United Kingdom and all partners who ensure the real power of sanctions against Russia and who are working with us on a solution that will allow all profits from frozen Russian assets to be used to defend against Russian aggression and later allow these assets to be confiscated.
I would like to emphasize that today, the feeling of security for every person cannot be separated from the overall security situation in the country and the ability of the state to defend itself. I appreciate your task of making Britain and the whole of Europe safer and more secure. I hope you will succeed. Our bilateral security agreement with the UK was the first and in many ways a model for other agreements. We in Ukraine are extremely grateful for such leadership. I hope that we will be able to achieve the main goals of our agreement during the years of your government's work. I really appreciate that our ministers have just signed an agreement on defense and industrial support, a practical document. We must always remember that security and defense cooperation between Ukraine and the UK always matters
