Ukraine has managed to stabilize the situation with its energy infrastructure, which was damaged by recent russian attacks. This was stated by Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko during a meeting with the United States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Bridget Brink, UNN reports.

According to Galushchenko, the government is currently finalizing the collection of information from companies on the necessary measures to restore the energy infrastructure that was damaged by the russian attacks. Thermal and hydropower generation facilities suffered the most damage. At present, we can state the need for high-voltage equipment, autotransformers, and equipment for repairs.

During the meeting, Bridget Brink expressed the readiness of the United States to help restore the energy sector and prepare for the next heating season.

In addition, they discussed cooperation to strengthen the physical protection of energy facilities and measures to decentralize generation before the start of the next heating season, namely the need to install additional distributed generation capacity.
