On April 1, new temperature records were set in Kyiv: the minimum, maximum, and average daily air temperature exceeded previous records, reaching levels typical of late May.

On April 1, three more temperature records were recorded in Kyiv, according to observations of the meteorological station of the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, UNN reports.

Reportedly, the minimum air temperature in the capital on April 1 this year was the warmest for that day, as the temperature did not drop below 10.4°C. The previous record value of 2017 was exceeded by 0.4°C.

The maximum air temperature also reached 24.6°C, which is 4.3°C higher than the previous record high in 2016.

The average daily air temperature was the highest on record for this day and, as noted, reached 17.3°C, which exceeded the previous record high of 2021 by 3.2°C and the climatic norm by 10.4°C.

"According to long-term indicators, this air temperature corresponds to the end of May," the observatory said.

On April 2, according to the forecast, in Ukraine during the day in the western regions there will be moderate, in most northern regions light short-term rains, sometimes thunderstorms; in the rest of the country there will be no precipitation. South wind with a shift to the west, 7-12 m/s, in Ukraine, except for the east, gusts of 15-20 m/s, in the highlands of the Carpathians 25-30 m/s.

The temperature will be 20-25°, up to 28° in the Crimea, 13-18° in Zakarpattia, Prykarpattia and the seaside.

In the Kyiv region in the afternoon there will be light short-term rain, in some places thunderstorm. South wind with a shift to the west, 7-12 m / s, gusts of 15-18 m / s. The temperature will be 20-25°, in Kyiv 22-24°.
