The United States is rejecting the election results in Venezuela after President Nicolas Maduro declared himself the winner earlier this week. U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said tonight that there is strong evidence that opposition presidential candidate Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia is the actual winner, AFP reports, UNN reports.

The country's Supreme Court has now asked the candidates to present their vote totals. This is seen as the beginning of an investigation into the disputed election, which Maduro himself had demanded.
