Answering the question of what technical task Ukrposhta and the newly appointed CEO received, Smilyansky replied that it was quite modest. Volodymyr Omelyan, the former Minister of Infrastructure, asked that "we do not go bankrupt, at least in the first month, and somehow hold on."

He added that when the Petya virus (a family of malware that affects computers running Microsoft Windows OS) was, most employees did not know what it was, because they worked on archives, not computers.

Smilyansky also spoke about the former interesting methods of self-defense of postmen, in addition to vintage nagans, which were issued to postal workers before independence to perform official duties.
Over time, the function of "Nagans" as service weapons came to an end, now Ukrposhta sells them at auctions to raise funds for the Armed Forces. But not so long ago, "Ukrposhta" bought chicken legs as a security measure for postmen.

According to Smilyansky, now "Ukrposhta" has reached one hundred percent automation with modern equipment. In 22 months of the war, 24 automated sorting centers were opened.
This month we will open the second sorting center in Kyiv and all parcels that enter Ukraine will be delivered within 24 hours. They are already delivered mostly like this today, there will just be 2 separate centers in the capital: Kyiv-right and Kyiv-left to manage risks
The CEO of Ukrposhta stressed that in international delivery, the Ukrainian post office received a bronze medal among all post offices in the world for delivery speed and announced some deadlines:
- London - 3-5 days;
- USA - 8-10 days;
- Australia - 10-14.
Now we are writing software that will allow us to provide banking services where banks do not work. In the morning we will go, load the data, then take it away. Offline transactions will be, but with limits
Earlier, UNN wrote that Ukrposhta's banking services will become available within the next 4-6 months. The new bank will focus on basic financial services for the population in rural and frontline regions.
"Ukrposhta Bank" will not participate in lending to big business and risky currency transactions, but will focus exclusively on providing basic services to the population in rural and frontline regions, the elderly, people with disabilities, recipients of social assistance, rural communities and AHs, military, farmers and the e-commerce segment.
