In Kharkiv, power engineers have developed a two-stage plan to restore power supply, which first involves the priority disconnection of critical facilities and then restoration of the standard power supply scheme within a few days, with possible restrictions on weekends and beyond due to damage caused by an enemy attack on the energy facilities that supply the city.
In Kharkiv, power engineers have developed a plan to restore power supply, which consists of two successive stages. The first priority is to provide power to critical facilities. Then the standard power supply scheme will be restored. This was announced by Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of the National Energy Company Ukrenergo, during a telethon, UNN reports .
Details
According to him, Kharkiv's critical infrastructure and about 30-40% of household consumers are powered.
We are planning to add about 40-50% more of the capacity we have at the moment to Kharkiv's power supply overnight and tomorrow. And then, within a few days, we plan to restore the normal power supply scheme to the city. I would like to note that there are no special problems with power supply in Kharkiv region. The enemy targeted the energy facilities that supply the city
According to Kudrytskyi, after the power is restored to the priority facilities, the second stage will begin, which involves restoring the standard power supply scheme in the city. According to preliminary estimates, this will take several days.
He warned that certain power supply restrictions in Kharkiv may remain in place over the weekend and possibly for several more days.
Minor power cuts also remain in effect in Khmelnytsky and Odesa regions.
In other regions, outage schedules are not expected to be introduced, although we should be prepared for their use.
Consumption traditionally drops on weekends, so it will be easier for us to cover it. Nevertheless, given the scale of the damage, we should really be prepared for some small restrictions. But we are not planning them yet
