Ukrainians declared more than 200 weapons under the new law: what is known

A week after the introduction of the new law, Ukrainians declared 215 firearms and 8914 ammunition. The Ministry of internal affairs also reports the surrender of 15 weapons and 3,221 ammunition.
On November 25, fromthe Akon of Ukraine "on ensuring the participation of civilians in the defense of Ukraine" came into force regarding improving the procedure for receiving, declaring and handling firearms. During the week, Ukrainians declared 215 firearms, as well as 8,914 ammunition for them. also, 15 firearms and 3,221 ammunition were handed over to the internal affairs bodies.
This is reported by the Ministry of internal affairs of Ukraine, reports UNN.
How to declare a weapon
To declare a firearm found or received, you must follow these steps:
- Call 102. you will be told where to contact.
- Report your desire to declare a weapon.
- Prepare the necessary documents:
Passport of a citizen of Ukraine;
Identification code (RNOCPP);
Statement of place of residence or registration;
A 3.5x4. 5 cm photo. 3.
- File an application with the nearest police department.
In the written application, indicate the circumstances of receiving or finding the weapon.
- Wait for the verification results.
The police will conduct a check, after which you will receive confirmation of the declaration.
Note
The declaration procedure avoids liability for illegal possession of weapons and guarantees their legal status.
