Ukrainian drones tested a Western navigation system that operates like those in cruise missiles

AFU drones flew 3,000 km using the Osiris module, which operates without GPS. The system compares terrain imagery with maps, following the principle of cruise missiles.

Ukrainian drones flew over 3,000 km during tests using the Osiris navigation module from the Greek company Delian Alliance Industries. This was reported by Defense Express, according to UNN.

According to the developer, Osiris is independent of GPS and operates by comparing terrain images with satellite maps. Defense Express notes that this is effectively an analog of the DSMAC system used in cruise missiles for terrain-contour matching navigation.
The company claims that the module provides near-zero coordinate determination error, is compatible with various types of drones, and does not require additional equipment. At the same time, details regarding the scale of Osiris's use in Ukraine and the test results have not yet been disclosed.
A distinctive feature of the development is that it is built entirely on British and other European components. Currently, the system is participating in the NATO DIANA 2026 program, which supports the implementation of promising defense technologies in Alliance countries.
