Ukraine will start receiving 5 50 billion from the G7 in 2025 at the expense of frozen Russian assets. The loan will not need to be repaid if Ukraine does not receive reparations from the Russian Federation.

Ukraine will start receiving the first 5 50 billion from frozen Russian assets next year. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, reports UNN.

While the legal procedure for creating an appropriate compensation mechanism is underway, while we are working on the confiscation of Russian frozen assets, we will start receiving the first 5 50 billion next year, the state has committed itself to helping citizens restore their property

Head of state Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on the conditions for Ukraine to receive a доларів 50 billion loan from the group of seven countries. According to the document, the loan will not need to be repaid if Ukraine does not receive reparations from the Russian Federation.

In October, the G7 leaders agreed to provide Ukraine with 5 50 billion in loans through an emergency revenue acceleration mechanism. The funds will be serviced at the expense of immobilized Russian assets.

On December 3, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a whole Bill on the conditions for receiving 5 50 billion.
