Ukrainian television is considering reorganizing the United News telethon amid a decline in its relevance.
Recently, questions have been raised that the United News telethon has lost its relevance, so the TV channels involved in the project are currently considering options for changing the format. This was announced by the acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostyslav Karandeyev on the air of Ukrainian Radio, UNN reports.
Today, TV channels are considering changing this format. I would like to remind you that these are the key TV channels in Ukraine that really have the largest audience. It is also important for them to introduce new forms and new formats. I think that in the near future such proposals will be a well-developed and consolidated solution

The decision to introduce broadcasting by the key players in the format of a telethon was made in a balanced manner, Karandeyev said. In his opinion, at the first stage of the full-scale war, this decision was extremely relevant. "The marathon achieved this goal when the citizens of Ukraine received necessary, important, up-to-date information about the events in the country," he said.
However, "life goes on, our vision and formats change, the economy starts working, advertisers appear," so it is likely that the telethon will undergo changes as well.
Recall
The level of trust of Ukrainians in the nationwide telethon "United News" continues to decline. In December 2023, it was 43%.
